Becki Baumgartner said… Hey Paula! We have done a few videos on some easy-to-identify wild edibles in our area - www.youtube.com/luminearth , and also have started a free online guide to wild edible and medicinal plants, www.luminearth.com/luminearthsguide . In both of these, the plants can be found either in your backyard or a nearby field, and all are ones I personally use. Dandelion greens are really easy to identify and tasty right now (less bitter after the first frost.) They are really yummy boiled then sprinkled with sharp cheddar cheese and some fresh ground pepper & sea salt. Some of my other favorites are violet leaves, broadleaf plantain, and pokeweed. (You must boil the pokeweed leaves 3x, but they are sooooo good it's worth the trouble!!) I'm not doing classes now, hopefully will start in the spring. There is a good meetup group, Eatable Weed Walks and Plant Classes http://www.meetup.com/weedeaters/ . Cindy Moonrose is the organizer and she is very knowledgeable. She does the classes at her homestead, Rabbit Hole Hollow, in the North Nashville rural area. I've been to several of her workshops, have always been pleased. I think she is planning a big class for December. I believe she is on Conscious Nashville, if not you can find her on Facebook. If you can't get to her workshop, I'd be glad to meet you at a park or something halfway between us (I'm in Bellevue) and point some of the plants out to you--I love to walk/hike parks anyhow. Plus I'll be glad to answer any questions you have!! Have fun!! Eating wild edibles will change the way you think about everything!! :)
Becki Baumgartner said… Oh yes, I know ALL about Thimerosol! Years ago, they decided to put it in contact lens solutions. I had a severe reaction and cold hardly open my eyes for a week! Luckily for me, I've always been one to stay away from the doctor so I haven't had a vaccine or anything since I was a very young child. Not sure what would have happened if I had gotten one!
Yes, I worked the Octagon Hall event. It was amazing! Everyone had a personal experience, even the guests. I got spirit footsteps on my digital recorder. You can listen here: http://www.luminearth.com/?p=7111http://www.luminearth.com/?p=7111 .
Those are some cool photos!! I am soooooo jealous, I have been wanting to visit Sedona for some time now!! Did you feel the energy there? I would love to see the photo originals-there are some cool edits that can be done to make the anomalies show up better. The textures that show up in the orbs shot is amazing!
Oh, another thing--if you would be interested in sharing your story publicly, I would love to have you share it on our site, LuminEarth.com. People need to know about this stuff!!
There is an article you might like, real-life experience written by a mom who's child is autistic because of the "extras" found in vaccines http://www.luminearth.com/?p=4825.
